
The BTEC Media Studies course gives you a broad experience of many different aspects of the media, including film, television, print media (newspapers, advertising and magazines) and social media. It focuses heavily on key concepts such as representation and audience. The course is very practical but there are written tasks.
English Grade - 4 Mathematics Grade - 4 An IT/Computing GCSE is preferable due to the practical demands of the course. Art/ Design GCSE qualifications will also support in this subject but are not essential.
Students will be required to complete a mix of both coursework which includes practical work such as producing a video on a topic as well as written work to go alongside this.
