Course summary

Sociology is a fascinating study of how human beings shaped the society they live in and are shaped by that society. It explores the various factors that make us who we are culturally and socially and allows student to explore why there is so much differentiation in terms of our individual identities. It examines main sociological perspectives such as Functionalism, Marxism and Feminism and offers the student the opportunity to understand the mechanisms in society that can lead individuals down different and often conflicting social paths. It is a truly enlightening and absorbing study taught by highly experienced practitioners.
