
Computer Science is a practical subject where learners can apply the academic principles learned in the classroom to real world systems. It is an intensely creative subject that combines invention and excitement, and can look at the natural world through a digital prism.
Grade 6 or above in GCSE Computing. All applicants must also achieve grade 6 or above in GCSE Mathematics. It would be advisable for students who have studied an alternative IT qualification at GCSE level (e.g. BTEC Level 2) to discuss their suitability for the course individually with the Computer Science teaching staff.
