Course summary

A Level Geography encourages students to wonder at, enjoy, question, critically understand and fully participate in the changing world in which we live. An exciting element of A level Geography is that it focuses on understanding the relationships between people and their varied environments, and the questions, issues and problems that arise from these relationships. Through geography, our students learn to value and care for the planet and all its inhabitants.

Entry requirements

Grade 6 or above in GCSE Geography.

How you'll be assessed

Component 1: Physical Systems written exam worth 22% of the A level. Component 2: Human Interactions written exam worth 22% of the A level. Component 3: Geographical Debates written exam worth 36% of the A level. Component 4: Non-exam assessment worth 20% of the A level.
