
The aim of this course is to focus working on building upon the musical successes achieved in GCSE. Straightforward in its structure, the course will assess students through practical performances, composition and one externally examined paper. In addition to practical work, students will investigate, analyse and evaluate music and its features. The course provides students with an opportunity to develop critical and creative thinking, cultural, aesthetic and emotional awareness, and the ability to make music individually and as part of a group.
