A Level English Literature
A KS4 score of at least 40 points in the best eight (equivalent to grade 5) and at least 5, 9-5 grades in GCSE courses including 5s in English and Maths. Five GCSE grades 9-5. Students must have at least grade 5 in both English Language and English Literature. The combined English course at GCSE is not sufficient preparation for A-level Literature study. A '6' grade in both courses is preferable, as it suggests students will be able to cope with the demands of A level.
