If you have a particular talent for and enjoyment of Mathematics then you should consider studying Further Mathematics. It will allow you to broaden and deepen your knowledge of Mathematics beyond the A-level Mathematics syllabus. It is of particular use to students wishing to study Mathematics, Physics or Engineering at degree level, as well as many other maths-related subjects. The modules taken are Further Pure Mathematics 1, Further Pure Mathematics 2, Decision Mathematics and either Further Mechanics or Further Statistics (depending on the specialisms and interests of the students in the class). This can be taken as either an AS or a full A-Level
Assessment is though 4 exams taken at the end of Year 13. Each exam lasts 1.5 hours and is worth 25% of the qualification.
