Chemistry A-Level
Course summary
In Chemistry A-Level, students must be able to use standard form, use significant figures, rearrange equations, use logs and have a good grasp of algebra to succeed. Therefore a Grade 5+ in Maths is required. The subject content is broken down into six modules, each of which has associated mathematical and practical skills: Module 1 – Development of practical skills in chemistry Module 2 – Foundations in chemistry Module 3 – Periodic table and energy Module 4 – Core organic chemistry Module 5 – Physical chemistry and transition elements Module 6 – Organic chemistry and analysis
