GCE A Level Business Studies
Jo Richardson Community School
Course summary
GCE A Level Business - exam board Edexcel. Students do not need to have studied Business at GCSE or BTEC Business in order to study A Level Business, although of course it is a benefit to already have background knowledge in either business or enterprise. Several topics in the course are developments of work covered at GCSE, but others are new. It is more important that students have a strong interest in Business Studies and want to learn how a business is created, organised, operates, plans and makes its decisions. We cover all topics from a fresh perspective to suit all students on the course. Often students enjoy studying A level Economics alongside A Level Business as the courses have some overlap and are complementary in many ways.
