- Students will be able to complete their Bronze level award, which is divided into four sections, including volunteering, learning a new skill and completing a physical activity. On completion of these sections participants will undertake the fourth, consisting of an expedition. This will involve groups completing an agreed expedition goal, whilst utilising map reading, navigation skills and team problem solving, as well as camping and being self-reliant. - Timetabled Duke of Edinburgh Award lessons will cover a range of activities such as team building, map reading, compass workshops, learning to use camping equipment that will be used during expedition, and ensuring regular evidence is being uploaded to highlight your progress whilst completing your volunteering, Physical and Skills sections. - What skills will I gain? Students will gain essential skills and attributes for work and life such as resilience, problem-solving, team-working, communication and drive, enhancing CVs, university and job applications.
