
The A-Level in English Literature qualification will build on the knowledge, understanding and skills established at GCSE, introducing students to the discipline of advanced literary studies, and requires reading of all the major literary genres of poetry, prose and drama. The course includes the reading and analysis of a wider range of texts from different time periods and contexts, two examinations and two non-examination coursework pieces.
To study English Literature you would need to achieve at least a grade 6 in GCSE English Literature.
