Course summary

Computer science is the study of the design of algorithms and their properties; and their linguistic and mechanical realisation.

Entry requirements

To study Computer Science you will need a minimum of a grade 6 in GCSE Computing. It is possible to study it as a new subject, to do so you would need to achieve at least a grade 7 in Mathematics.

How you'll be assessed

Paper 1: The Characteristics of contemporary processors - 40%, Paper 2: Elements of computational thinking Problem solving and programming Algorithm - 40%, NEA Programming Project - 20%
