A Level Biology

Course summary

A Level Biology is an exciting course that builds on your existing GCSE knowledge of key topics such as stem cells, enzymes, immunology and genetics. It also introduces new topics such as muscles, the biology of cancer and up-to-date advances in research. You will learn about things such as how we can stop disease progression by switching off the production of proteins or how the environment can cause inherited changes in features without changes to the DNA sequence, Students will develop good practical skills during their Biology course and will complete experiments set by the exam board. This helps to provide students with excellent transferrable skills for any future scientific courses and a wide array of careers.
