This enables the National Diploma to be chosen as it is equivalent to two A Levels* This qualification is for students who want to continue their education through applied learning and who aim to progress to higher education or training and ultimately to employment in the business sector. The qualification aims to provide a coherent introduction to study of the business sector. The National Diploma programme covers business environments, finance, marketing, human resources, accounting, marketing and law. Business Studies (Single Award) units Unit 1 – Exploring Business (Coursework) Unit 2 – Developing a marketing campaign (Exam) Unit 3 – Personal and Business Finance (Exam) Unit 8 – Recruitment & Selection (Coursework) Plus, Business Studies (Double Award) additional units Unit 4 – Managing an event (Coursework) Unit 5 – International Business (Coursework) Unit 6 – Principles of management (Exam) Unit 14 – Investigating Customer Service (Coursework) The qualification will support entry to many higher education courses, depending on the other qualifications learners have taken. The qualification can also support progression to employment directly, or via an Apprenticeship.
