Course summary

Sociology is the study of people and how their behaviours are determined by nurture. How one’s life chances are impacted by simple things, like what family, country, area they are born into. As a student you will be required to link these ideas to wider social processes and structures. This subjects gives one an insight into how things are not always as they seem. You begin to see the careful ways in which society is designed and how these designs are not always fair or just. Sociology is a living and breathing subject, keeping up to date with contemporary issues makes sociology to life.
