Course summary

As part of the Sixth Form experience, all Post 16 students have a one hour slot on their timetable each week for enrichment opportunities. These lessons are fundamental in shaping and preparing our students for the future and will provide additional opportunities for students to develop the ‘soft-skills’ that any future employers are looking for in their candidates. Enrichment sessions are additional to the many extra-curricular opportunities that are on offer that are designed to get Post 16 students involved in the wider school community. Course Details – what will the course consist of? - Careers and guidance As part of our Sixth Form you will have full access to our careers and guidance team, ensuring that all students are fully prepared for their next steps. Students have access to a full programme of workshops including writing a personal statement, how to apply for apprenticeships, choosing the right course and preparing for interviews. - Life skills Practical sessions in our technology department including surviving on a budget, preparing healthy meals for one, managing resources effectively, time management and running a home. - Ethics Guidance and discussions tailored for 16-18 year olds including taking responsibility, meeting deadlines, actions and consequences and looking after your mental well-being.
