Assessment allows learners to build on their skills needed for Higher Education and includes written examinations, controlled assessments (in which a pre-release material is studied in advance) as well as internal assignments. Core units for this course include: Unit 1: Information Technology Systems Unit 2: Creating Systems to Manage Information (Databases) Unit 3: Using Social Media in Business Unit 6: Website Development The BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Information Technology is intended as an Applied General qualification covering 360 GLH and equivalent in size to one A Level.
