Course summary

This qualification trains you to pursue a career in an animalrelated industry. When taken alongside further Level 3 qualifications (such as Biology or BTEC Science), it supports access to a range of higher education courses in the animal management sector and/or other subject areas. • Animal behaviour • Practical animal husbandry • Work experience in the Animal Care vocational area • Understand the different roles of animals and animal related organisations in society • Principles of animal behaviour • Understand the essential signs of good and ill health in animals • Animal Housing and accommodation

- Grade 4 in GCSE English or a humanities subject - Level 2 Pass in Animal Management GCSE - You should have a desire to work with animals

Paper 1; written exam, 33% of BTEC final grade Coursework; four individual pieces covering 67% of the BTEC final grade
