A-level Biology builds on the concepts and investigation skills developed in the GCSE and it is particularly suitable for students who have the skills and knowledge associated with a GCSE Biology course or equivalent.

There is a choice of two essay questions in the final examination paper, giving students more opportunities to bring together knowledge of the whole specification.
