Law is a fascinating subject which affects everybody every day. Each time you catch a bus, go to work, go shopping or eat out Law is involved. Law is everywhere! Law can be studied in combination with all other subjects as it develops skills which can be used across the board. You will improve your essay writing skills, your communication skills, vocabulary and memory. Law can lead to a broad range of careers; it can be the first step to becoming a solicitor, barrister, clerk of the court, police officer, journalist, politician, civil servant, teacher, a career in business and much more.
- You will need a 5 or above in your GCSE English Language. Law is a challenging subject so you should be prepared to work hard. - To study at Bilborough Sixth Form College you must achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades 9 to 4 including English and Maths. We count L2 BTEC merit as equivalent to one GCSE.
There are three written exams which are each worth 33.33% of the A level. All are two hours long and contain a range of short answer questions, short essays and extended essays.
