Course summary
Both year 12 and year 13 will cover pure math's, mechanics and statistics. Pure mathematics covers: proof, algebra, trigonometry, co-ordinate geometry, functions and graphs, sequences and series, differentiation, integration, logarithms, numerical methods and vectors. Statistics covers: representation and summary of data, probability, correlation and regression, discrete random variables, discrete and normal distributions and hypothesis testing. Mechanics covers: forces & Newton’s laws, kinematics and moments.

As published by the school
4 GCSEs at or above grade 6 with a 5 or above in English language and they should have completed at least 8 GCSEs 7+ in GCSE maths. Students with a 6 or 7 grade must pass algebra test at enrollment interview in August, to be accepted onto the course.
