STRUCTURE OF COURSE: Component 1: Introductory Topics in Psychology Component 2: Psychology in Context Component 3: Issues and Options in Psychology CONTENT: Component 1 Includes: Social Influence; Memory; Attachment; Research Methods. Component 2 Includes: Approaches in Psychology; Biopsychology; Psychopathology (including depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, phobias and anxiety disorders). Component 3 Includes: Issues and Debates in Psychology; Relationships or Gender; Schizophrenia or Eating Behavior; Addiction or Forensic Psychology; Advanced Research Methods. POSSIBLE CAREER PATHS: Chartered Psychologist – including Clinical, Counselling, Educational, Forensic, Health, or Occupational Psychology, Medical Doctor (especially GP or Psychiatrist), Lawyer, Police Officer, Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Teacher or Lecturer: POSSIBLE SUBJECT COMBINATIONS: Psychology can be combined with Arts, Humanities or Science subjects as well as Sport.
