Course summary
The course is equivalent to one A-Level, carries the same UCAS points and is based upon passing two exams and completing assignment work including some practical assignments in sports coaching and the delivery of sporting events. The mandatory units are: Unit 1: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport Unit 2: Sports Coaching Unit 3: Sports Organisation and Development The optional units are: Unit 8: Organisation of Sports Events Unit 19: Sport and Exercise Psychology

To be discussed at Sixth Form application interview. We expect students to have a good Attitude to Learning score and high attendance and attainment. Offers made after interview will include specific requirements relevant to each student and all students will receive a bespoke offer letter after interview. Most subjects have an entry requirement of a Grade 6. Students must have achieved a Grade 4 in English and Maths.

Assessment
Cambridge Technicals are externally moderated through exams in Units 1 and 3, with Units 2, 8 and 19 having moderated assignment work.
