Course summary
If you enjoy reading, theatre and film, this could be the course for you. You’ll explore different genres and styles of text from comedy to drama, which you will analyse and assess for their cultural and historical significance. You’ll learn how to give critique, understand the deeper meaning behind texts the impact they would have had in the time they were written. You’ll have plenty of opportunity for wider reading and to bring your own ideas and interpretations into the classroom for discussion and debate with other students. You will study this course alongside 2 or 3 other A Levels and you will be able to select your chosen subjects when you apply online.
