Computing and IT Advanced Technician
Course summary
This course develops the knowledge, understanding and skills you'll need to follow your career pathway in Information Technology. You will work closely with employers, Founders and Coders, charities such as Local Village network, and Yonder who are integrated into the assessment process, giving you the essential skills to get you ready for the world of work, higher education, apprenticeships, and internships. You will be taught, social media, programming, mobile app development, coding, computer games development, and cyber security. Within the IT programmed, we offer Core Math's, and an opportunity to be part of our Coding club where you can obtain an additional qualification.

Assessment
Assessment is carried by completing an employer linked project, and core unit exams which embeds all units related to the course. The project is graded by achieving each task set out in the assignment brief. You will work closely with an employer brief which includes both theoretical and practical topics. This will give you both transferable practical skills and the theoretical ability to enhance your employability status with the purpose of recognizing your ability to integrate the knowledge and skills gained on the course.
