Computing and IT Advanced Technician
Course summary
This course is designed for learners who are interested in exposure to a range of IT topics that will enhance their progression to higher education or into future employment. Learners will develop a common core of IT knowledge and study areas such as the relationship between hardware and software that form an IT system, managing and processing data to support business, using IT to communicate and share information, programming skills and computational thinking skills. This will be supported by enrichment activities such as the programming club, which will help enhance your programming skills. The duration of the time you are in college, the course will be taught in the IT block. You will be able use the new recently built LRC which includes a think tank room, library and desktop computers. The computers have been recently upgraded and you will be using one drive to complete your work which will allow you to access work from home or from your phone. You will have 3 teachers who will teach you at least 2 units. You will also have access to online learning platforms.
