Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and human behaviour. Psychologists observe and conduct experiments to find out more about why people behave the way they do and how people act and interact in certain situations. Psychologists try to understand what motivates, challenges or modifies our behaviour and use this understanding to help us tackle personal and social problems. Psychologists can work in social care, mental health, education, business, research and sports.
4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or MM at L2), including GCSE English or Maths at 4 or above A good school reference, attendance and behaviour record are also required, as is a positive college interview OR completion of REACH UP behaviour intervention programme
