Course summary

Psychology is the scientific study of human mental processes and behaviour. Psychology is an interdisciplinary subject that draws on the sciences and the humanities by applying scientific methods and theories to understand human behaviour. You will participate in trips and activities behaviour. First Year A broad introduction to the key theories and research methods in Psychology; Social influence; Approaches; Memory; Psychopathology; Attachment; Research methods. Second Year Compulsory content: Social influence; Memory; Attachment; Psychopathology; Approaches in psychology; Biopsychology; Research methods; Issues and debates in psychology Options to be selected from: Relationships, Gender, Cognition and Development; Schizophrenia, Eating Behaviour, Stress; Aggression, Forensic Psychology, Addiction.

Entry requirements

To study A levels at QPCS you have to achieve at least six GCSE grades 5-9. G6 in English Language, G5 in Maths and G6 in a Science subject.
