Course summary
You will develop practical skills and a theoretical understanding of the world of business including areas such as banking, marketing, insurance and accounting. As well as learning about employment areas, you will develop the skills you need to build a successful career including teamwork, innovation and entrepreneurship. This is a two-year course equivalent to three A Levels. You will look in depth at Finance, Management, Marketing, Events Management, International Business and Decision Making in Business. In the second semester each year, you have the opportunity to select modules of your choice, just like at university. These choices allow you to specialize in different areas of business. The options change each year, but are likely to include: Law, Customer Service, Accounting, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Recruitment and Digital Marketing. During the course you will develop your group work, IT and presentation skills. You will have a personal tutor who supports and guides you through the course. You will meet with your personal tutor for group meetings and for personal one to one meetings on a regular basis.

Assessment
The course is assessed through approximately 60% coursework and 40% modular exams. There are exams in Finance and Marketing in the first year and Management and Decision Making in the second year. Coursework will include written reports, presentations, role plays and time-limited exercises.
