We live in a visual world. Our senses are stimulated daily by a variety of images, artefacts and designs, all of which have been generated by creative people. At A Level you will research and investigate different artists and sources of inspiration in response to different themes. You will learn from techniques, processes and concepts that artists and designers use to inspire your own developmental work. You will try out a range of techniques, processes and media whilst developing, refining and recording your own plans that lead to personal responses or pieces of art that express your ideas and feelings.
- 5 in Art - Please note, if you studied Foundation Maths or Sciences at GCSE you will not be able to apply to study A Level Maths or A Level Sciences respectively as GCSE Foundation grades are capped at grade 5. - Achieving 6 grade 4s (or equivalent) including English Language.
- Component 1: Personal Investigation Coursework = 60% of total A Level and comprised of: Practical Work and - Supporting Studies = 48% Personal Study/Essay = 12% - Component 2: Externally Set Assignment - Exam = 40% of total A Level
