Our BTEC level 2 and 3 course in Health and Social Care provides students with the background knowledge and skills needed by all individuals that are considering working with people in a Health and Social care provision capacity. We have a successful history of giving our students the qualifications they need to become successful in jobs in the Health and Social Care sector such as teaching, social work, nursing, midwifery, paramedic science and many more. BTEC Tech Level 3 Health and Social Care Extended Certificate Unit 1 Human Lifespan development Unit 2 Working in the Health and Social Care Sector Unit 5 Meeting the needs of service users One Optional Unit Health and Social Care is a highly appealing course for students who thrive in the notion of connecting theory and practice and have a desirable interest in understanding the holistic experiences in the field of Health and Social Care.
5 or more GCSE passes (grades 9-5) For BTEC Level 3 courses, a level 5 or above is required in the subject to be studied
Students will be assessed internally every half term in years 12 and 13. Written assignments are set throughout the year and moderated by Pearson. Students will be awarded a PASS, MERIT, DISTINCTION/ DISTINCTION* grade upon complete the external and internal content.
