Health and Social Care is a relevant current topic that is always making the headlines to the world today. You will get the opportunity to apply different strategies of effective communication to a health or social care role play. In addition, you will have an understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of the health care professional when empowering individuals in the health and social care sector. This CACHE qualification has been developed in the health and social care sector to: • Give you the opportunity to enter employment in the health and social care sector or to move on to Higher Education and progression into a wide range of roles within the health and social care sector. • Give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. • Give you the opportunity to attend a placement in a real working environment for a minimum of 175 hours to support your learning.

Assessment
Year 1: 100% coursework. Nine core mandatory units (graded A*-D). One extended assessment covering the core mandatory units. Work Experience. Year 2: Five diploma mandatory units which are internally assessed. One extended assessment covering the diploma mantatory units. One external assessment short answer examination covering DM3.1. Four optional units & work experience with 175 hours in total.
