Course summary
Students taking physical education will attend additional compulsory sessions on Wednesday afternoons where the practical coursework is covered. This is the only time that practical work is carried out – the rest of the lessons are theoretical and are based in a classroom YEAR 12 COURSE SPECIFICATION * Applied anatomy and physiology * Skill acquisition * Sport and society * Biomechanics YEAR 13 COURSE SPECIFICATION * Exercise physiology * Sports Psychology * Contemporary issues and sport * Performance in one chosen activity * Evaluation and planning for the improvement of performance
