This course takes an issues-based approach to Geography, with emphasis on skills, fieldwork and a holistic understanding of human and physical processes including hazards, coasts, water and carbon cycles, landscape systems, globalisation and global development. Unit 1: Dynamic Landscapes (Hazards, Coasts) Unit 2: Dynamic Places (Globalisation, Regenerating Places) Unit 3: Physical Systems and Sustainability (Carbon cycle and Energy Security, Water Conflict and Security) Unit 4: Human Systems and Geopolitics (Superpowers and Health, Human Rights and Intervention)
At least eight GCSEs grades 9-4 Grade 6 in GCSE Geography. All students must also have achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade 5 in English Language OR English Literature AND GCSE Grade 5 in Mathematics.
