Drama and Theatre Studies
Course summary
You will study three units: C1: Devising – in small groups you will devise a play in response to a stimulus and complete coursework to document your process. The play is performed in the style of an influential theatre practitioner. C2: Text in Performance – a performance of two script extracts from plays to an external examiner. This includes a monologue and a duologue or group piece. C3: Theatre Makers in Practice – an external exam in which you respond as a director and a designer to an unseen extract of script, as well as reviewing a live theatre performance.
