Psychology
Course summary
Psychology is the study of the mind and behaviour. It includes a blend of philosophy and science, but ultimately it relies upon the evidence found using scientific principles. Behaviour is studied quantitatively with experiments, however the mind and human experience can also be studied subjectively using qualitative or language based procedures. This often forms the basis of many different types of effective therapy used in the treatment of emotional and mental health problems. Psychology has many great practical applications in the world and it has the ability to change people’s lives. This goes further than just mental health difficulties and Psychology is highly beneficial to your own personal development. If you really want to understand your own human experience, gain a sense of self and navigate safely through the rocky seas of life, then studying this is a good place to begin your journey.
