Course summary
Our A-level History course has been designed to help students understand the significance of historical events, the role of individuals in history and the nature of change over time. Our course will help them to gain a deeper understanding of the past through political, social, economic and cultural perspectives. The topics studied are; In search of the American Dream: the USA, c1917–96, India, c1914–48: the road to independence, Britain: losing and gaining an empire,1763–1914 and an independent project on the origins of the Holocaust will provide our students with the knowledge and skills they require to succeed at A-level as historians and citizens of the world.
