Course summary

ICT is a practical work-related course. You learn by completing realistic IT projects, presented through vocational based assignments. Lessons are delivered with state-of-the-art technologies in well-equipped facilities, by experienced teachers. Work is assessed through a variety of methods such as role-play and practical's. WHAT WILL I STUDY? - Advanced Computer Hardware and Software. - System Security. - Web Design, Gaming and Animation. - The impact of ICT on industries and their relationship with both products and audiences.

Entry requirements

Either - Four GCSE grades 9-4, including a minimum grade 5 in English or Maths Or - Level 2 Diploma at Merit or Distinction and minimum GCSE grade 5 in English or Maths.

How you'll be assessed

After the delivery of each unit of the course, you will be issued with an assignment, which covers a pass, merit and distinction criteria. Assessments are carried out through assignments, coursework and two externally marked exams.
