Furthermore, the course is designed to give you an excellent grounding in a wide range of computing and IT applications, so you have a good all-round understanding of the use of IT in modern society. Course Outcomes Mandatory Units: •Information Technology Systems •Creating Systems to Manage Information •Using social media in Business •Programming •IT Project Management •Cyber Security and incident Management •IT Service Delivery Progression The BTEC IT Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Information Technology is equivalent to three A Levels. On completion of the course, you will gain a nationally recognized qualification which will equip you for work in the Computing and IT sectors, or prepare you for further study at university. You may want to specialize in one of the areas of Computing and IT you have studied in the BTEC program, such as web-design, computer programming, graphics or e-commerce.
4 GCSEs at grade C/4 including Maths and English. Alternatively, Level 2 BTEC Certificate/Extended Certificate in IT at Merit grade including Maths and English at grade C/4. (Exceptions to entry requirements onto our level 3 qualifications may be considered)
