Course summary
What will I Study? In Photography you will learn how to effectively use a camera as well as appropriate techniques and editing skills, but also drawing skills. You will develop your creative ability to communicate your ideas. The aim of the course is to encourage creativity, so you will undertake sustained investigation and analysis of photography and art, experimentation, and design and making as a means of developing technical and expressive skills. You will get the opportunity to follow a programme of study which extends experience and personal response as well as developing imagination and critical and reflective thinking.

Assessment
60% of grade comes from a Personal Investigation which is a coursework project led by the student. 40% of the grade comes from an exam project where students select a starting point from an exam paper and complete a project similar to the personal investigation. For the exam project there is a 15 hour practical exam.
