This course, taught at Barnet and Southgate College's Barnet Campus, is ideal if you are thinking about studying business at Level 3, and offers specialist pathways in finance, law or marketing. This course will cover a range of generic business topics. On the FINANCE pathway, learners will also study topics such as investment and financial planning and legal principles of finance. On the LAW pathway, learners will also study topics such as employment law and civil & criminal liability for businesses. On the MARKETING pathway, learners will also study topics such as digital marketing, branding and creative promotion. (All topics may change).
5 GCSEs, with 4 of these being grade 4 or above including maths, and one being GCSE English language at 5 or above OR a Level 2 Diploma with a Merit grade in a relevant subject PLUS grade 4 GCSEs in maths and grade 5 in English AND a suitable academic reference is also required. (To progress to Year 2 you need to have successfully completed Year 1.)
Assessment is through a combination of continuous coursework and examinations.
