Plumbing (Building Work)
Course summary
Students will learn the theory and practical skills covering the plumbing and domestic heating industry. To pass this Level 3 course, students will complete set tasks and take theoretical exams based on real life scenarios. They will have to demonstrate knowledge and practical application of a range of plumbing and central heating systems. If students have not achieved GCSE grade 4 or above in English or Math's, they will study an additional English or Math's course. You will study topics including: •Complex Cold Water Systems •Complex Hot Water Systems •Unvented Hot Water Systems •Central Heating •Complex Sanitation •Gas 1 •Gas 2 •System planning •Improving Business Other compulsory units to be studied will include aspects of the industry, such as Health & Safety in building services engineering; Fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems; Plumbing system installation planning; Sanitation and drainage systems; Complex central heating systems; Domestic gas principles and Career awareness in building services engineering.
