This programme is for people with a Level 3 qualification (160 UCAS points) or those who have relevant work experience and wish to study for a higher level qualification in business. Full time (over 2 years) and part time (over 3 years) study options are available. The programme includes the following modules; professional study skills, the business environment, contemporary marketing, people and performance, business law, information systems and data analysis, career planning, leading and managing teams, project management, financial management and enterprise & innovation.
Adult learners need to have a good command of English (both written and spoken) and have worked within the Events, Travel and Tourism Industry. 5 GCSEs, with 4 of these being grade 4 or above including maths, and one being GCSE English language at 5 or above OR a Level 2 Diploma with a Merit grade in a relevant subject PLUS grade 4 GCSEs in maths and grade 5 in English AND a suitable academic reference is also required. (To progress to Year 2 you need to have successfully completed Year 1.)
Assessment is through a mixture of individual and group assignments, a dissertation report and occasional presentations and classroom-based examinations.
