Course summary
This course is a two-year qualification equivalent to one A Level. This qualification is designed to support students who are interested in learning about the computing sector alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses. Key topics: •Information Technology Systems •Creating Systems to Manage Information •Using Social Media in Business •Website Development The course uses a combination of assessment styles to give students the confidence to apply their knowledge to succeed in the workplace or to continue learning on higher education courses. This qualification is studied alongside 2 or 3 other A Levels or Level 3 BTEC equivalent courses. The course allows students to gain fundamental knowledge and skills in computing from which they can progress to broader or more specialist study at higher level. The qualification can be taken in combination with A Levels or other vocational qualifications to meet progression requirements.
