6 GCSE 9-5 grades to include Math & English Language at Grade 4+. Grade 6+ in Music GCSE and Grade 5+ in an instrument is also required.

Assessment
60% of the course is internally assessed through performing (30%) and composing (30%). You will have to do an eight minute performance that can be solo or as part of an ensemble. You will also have to compose two pieces, one being 4 minutes long and the other being based on a compositional technique that lasts a minimum of 1 minute. The remaining 40% of the course is a listening exam.
