Entry requirements

The qualifications entry requirement to study at Level 3 is 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grades 9-5, including English Language and Mathematics. Some subjects require a Grade 6 or 7 in certain GCSE subjects. Our A level and BTEC subjects are always under review

How you'll be assessed

There are four exams in Health and Social Care. Year 1 (Year 12) Unit 1: Human Lifespan Development in Health and Social Care. (Marks out of 90) Unit 2: Working in Health and Social Care (marks out of 80) Year 2 (Year 13) Unit 3: Anatomy and Physiology in Health and Social Care (marks out of 90). Unit 4: Enquiries into current research in Health and Social Care. (Marks out of 65, four exam questions) 13 units of which 8 are Mandatory and 4 are external. Mandatory content (72%) External assessment (42%).
