Course summary
This course is an excellent course for career progression purposes or to study further or higher in the health and social care sector. This course is intricately designed to tutor you in the importance of health and social care: its roles and responsibilities, and safeguarding within the sector. The course is the vocational element of a study programmed. The study programmed is made up of multiple components. These components include the vocational element (which is health and social care), your work placement opportunity and various enrichment activities. The course is studied on-site at Camden Road, and it is vital all lessons are attended to ensure you are able to reach your full potential. A personal tutor will be assigned to you and they will support you throughout this course. The personal tutor will also support you with your university application during term 1. A work placement officer will meet with you to discuss your specific career choices and together you will work towards securing a work placement that suits this pathway.

Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language, Math's and Science or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at Merit or above. All applicants must have an interview and assessment to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

Assessment
Assessment is continuous throughout the year through completing written assignments and projects as well as performing practical work that is assessed internally within the college. There will also be some written examinations, assessed externally via Pearson, the BTEC awarding body.
