Course summary

This award is a two year A Level qualification. Year 12: The study of: Textual variations and representations, Language and gender, occupation, accent & dialect, technology, ethnicity, age, sexuality and coursework completion. Year 13: Revision of year 12 content, Child language development, and Language Change. Content Paper 1 Textual Variations and representations Children’s language development (0-11 years) Methods of language analysis are integrated into the activities Written exam: 2 hours 30 minutes - 100 mark - 40% of A-level Language Investigation Original Writing Methods of language analysis are integrated into the activities Word count: 3,500 – 100 marks – 20% of A-level – Assessed by teachers – Moderated by AQA
