Students will learn about the mind and human behaviour including studying the way the mind works. Students will learn how a number of different Psychological Approaches attempt to explain humans’ behaviour. Students will also learn how Psychologists conduct their investigations and which statistical methods they are using to analyse their data. Students will conduct their own experiment on one of the topics that has already been taught, as this will further develop their understanding of Research Methods.
At least eight GCSEs grades 9-4 Grade 5,5 in GCSE Combined Science OR Grade 5 in GCSE Biology. GCSE Grade 5 in English Language OR English Literature AND GCSE Grade 5 in Mathematics.

For example, sections B, C and D of Paper 3 contain extended response questions. An ‘extended response’ is evidence of sufficient length generated to allow students to demonstrate their ability to construct and develop a sustained line of reasoning which is coherent, relevant, substantiated and logically structured.
