Course summary

Studying A Level Modern Hebrew will enrich students’ knowledge of the language beyond GCSE level. Learning Modern Hebrew will enable students to converse in Hebrew and is very practical for those who visit, study or will live in Israel. Some of our A Level MH students who go to Yeshivot and Seminaries, are able to enter the ‘Hebrew-speaking’ streams.

Assessment

Paper 1 Reading and Writing, including translation to English and independent research: 2 hours and 30 minutes and will comprise about 40% of the final grade. Paper 2 Writing (Literature): 2 hours and will comprise about 20% of the final grade. Paper 3 Listening Reading and Writing will include listening texts + multi task of Listening, Reading and Writing, translation from English to Hebrew as well. This paper will comprise about 40% of the final grade.
